Restaurationsprojekt in Eschenlohe 2006
Eschenlohe 2006
This instrument was originally built by the well-known Munich organbuilder
Franz Borgias Maerz in 1906 with pneumatic action. There was a major
rebuild in 1930 with a new swellbox and console being added. Further
invasive work followed in 1973, when new high-pitched ranks were added,
the action electrified and the original wind system removed.
Our aim in the present renovation/restoration has been to take
the instrument as far as possible back to its original state.
However, the electric key- and stop- action has had to be
retained on grounds of cost and space.
