Wuppertal – New Reformed Church
Renovation of the Peter organ (1968) | III/31 | 2021
After the church, dedicated in 1858, was radically altered in the 1960 with the insertion of a new ceiling, Willi Peter of Cologne provided the present organ in neo-baroque style in 1968.
In the course the 2021 renovation, we are to overhauled the windchests and console, brought the electric systems up to the latest standard and installed an electronic setter system. There is a new blower motor, bellows have been checked, seals renewed and the whole wind system was stabilised. On the tonal side there was intensive voicing adjustment to achieve more gravity, fullness and character, as well as balance between registers.
